3. Serbia’s first renewables auction in the books
Serbia’s green energy success stories continue to grow. 16 investors with a total power plant capacity of 816.48 MW participated in the country’s first auction for the allocation of renewables market premiums last week, of which 602.8 MW were offered to fill the quota. Read the full story here.
4. EU adopts a framework for CBAM
Moving to the latest developments in the European regulatory sphere, the European Commission has adopted rules for governing the implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) during its transitional phase, which is set to start on 1 October of this year and run until the end of 2025.
