2. MOL begins gas production in Kazakhstan
Taking a look at the gas sector, MOL announced earlier this week that it has begun production at a gas field in Kazakhstan with Kazakh and Chinese partners. The first well at the field is expected to start at a gas production rate of 300,000 cubic metres per day, which will be transported to the Chinarevskoye gas processing facility. 3. EU ministers give a green light to emergency measures
On Tuesday, EU energy ministers reached a political agreement to extend three emergency regulations adopted last year in response to the energy crisis. This includes improving energy supply cooperation, speeding up the deployment of renewables and establishing a market correction mechanism. Read the full story here.
