Ukraine Energy Support Fund contracts €129 million in 2023

The Energy Community Secretariat announced last Monday (8 January) that the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has concluded supply contracts valued at more than 129 million euros for essential equipment, materials and services.

The fund has received 405 million euros in grants from a variety of public and private donors since its creation in 2022. A considerable number of energy equipment procured by the fund are already operational within Ukraine, the Energy Community Secretariat said in a press release.

In December, the fund received additional grants amounting to 88.5 million euros from the German government.

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was set up by the Energy Community Secretariat to serve as a platform for governments and international financial institutions to provide emergency financial support to Ukraine’s energy sector.
