The Polish majority state-owned energy company, Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) has launched the Energy Declaration Platform (PDE) for energy producers and retailers, the company announced earlier this week.
PDE will enable energy producers and retailers to find business partners in an “efficient and effective way”. The platform will be serviced by PGE Dom Maklerski (PGE Brokerage House), part of the PGE Group.
President of the PGE Management Board, Wojciech Dąbrowski said: “The Energy Declaration Platform will streamline the process of purchasing and selling energy on the market, and will also allow for quick and effective verification of current energy prices. This will provide greater transparency and enable to choose the best offer and seller at the given moment. I am convinced that after the lifting of the exchange obligation, the platform will facilitate energy trading and increase its transparency.”
Via the platform, electricity generators and consumers will be able to announce declarations of interest in the purchase or sale of specific energy volumes, make reservations of the declarations and, after obtaining the data of a potential contractor, conclude transactions directly between interested entities.
The sale of energy will take place on the basis of bilateral agreements between PDE participants.
