Bulgartransgaz successfully finalises most important public procurement for Vertical Corridor

Bulgaria’s gas transmission system operator Bulgartransgaz has successfully finalised the most important public procurement related to the implementation of the Vertical Gas Corridor initiative, namely for Spatial planning, investment design, procurement of the necessary materials and equipment, construction and commissioning of new sites for expansion of the gas transmission infrastructure of Bulgartransgaz.

The open procedure under the Public Procurement Act aims to increase the capacities at interconnection points Kulata/Sidirokastro and Negru Voda/Kardam. The public procurement is in three lots with a total estimated value of 586,669,410 Bulgarian Lev (approximately 300 million euros), VAT excluded.

For each lot, tenders were submitted by three associations and after examining their compliance, all three tenders were admitted.
