Boston Consulting Group’s global partners elected Zsófia Beck to Managing Director and Partner as of 1 July, making her the first Hungarian female MDP.
Zsófia Beck joined BCG’s Budapest office in September 2011, where she has been BCG’s Partner up until her recent appointment. She is a member of the global team of experts specialised in the energy industry and has extensive experience with electricity and gas utilities. She has been working with leading international, Eastern European and Hungarian energy companies for more than 15 years, supporting them in achieving their business goals in the fields of strategy development, sales strategies, regulatory management, operational improvements, decarbonisation, sustainability goals and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms Beck holds an MSc degree in engineering and management from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Before joining BCG, she spent five years at another management consulting firm.
She is also a member of the Women in Energy Association.
With the new appointment, BCG wishes to further strengthen its presence in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe, including its role in the energy industry.
