Mateusz Berger appointed President of Polish Nuclear Power Plants

On Tuesday (15 August), the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Polish Nuclear Power Plants (Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe or PEJ) appointed Mateusz Berger as President and Radosław Adach as Vice President of the company’s Management Board.

Mr Berger was a Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure in the Polish government between July 2022 and June 2023. He also previously worked for PKO BP bank, where he was responsible for, among other things, legal advisory in investment and corporate banking.

Łukasz Młynarkiewicz, the previous PEJ President, remains in the PEJ Management Board as a second Vice-President of the state-owned nuclear special purpose company.

Mr Młynarkiewicz left his role as President on 14 August. On the same day, Seweryn Kowalczyk resigned from the position as the company’s Vice-President.
