Ján Hrivňák appointed as new Managing Director of OMV Hungaria

Ján Hrivňák took over the duties of Managing Director and Head of the Retail Business Division at OMV Hungária from July replacing former company Managing Director, Tibor Balogh.

Ján Hrivňák will be responsible for the operation of OMV Hungaria’s 203 filling stations in Hungary. Mr Hrivňák holds a master’s degree in strategic management from Comenius University in Bratislava and speaks fluent Hungarian.

Following his university years, he built his career first at IBM and then at the Holcim group, where he was responsible sales, logistics, and supply chain management. At OMV’s subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, he initially held managerial positions, in the past years, he responsible for leading and managing the full Card Customer Support Organization servicing Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary.

In line with the company’s renewed image, I will do everything to ensure that, following the international corporate strategy, OMV Hungaria becomes an indispensable player in supporting sustainable mobility in Hungary,” said Ján Hrivňák.
