Cristian Signoretto elected Eurogas’ new President

Eurogas, the association representing the gaseous fuels sector, officially announced the election of Cristian Signoretto as its new President, following the resignation of Didier Holleaux, effective 24 May.

The newly elected President, Mr Signoretto, is Director of Global Gas and LNG Portfolio and Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Natural Resources at Eni and has been on Eurogas’ Board of Directors since 2019. During the past sixteen years, that he has spent at Eni, Mr Signoretto has devoted his whole career to the energy and gas sector, serving in various high-level roles both at the national and international levels. Mr Signoretto brings extensive experience to the Presidency, also leveraging his role as President of Proxigas, the Italian gas industry association and as a member of the Executive Committee of GIIGNL, the International Group of Liquefied Natural Gas Importers.

“I’m honoured to represent Eurogas as its President for the next two years, a period of utmost importance for the European and global gas industry,” said Mr Signoretto. “This is a pivotal moment for Eurogas to contribute to the overall energy and climate agenda. In fact, thanks to the experience and commitments of its members, Eurogas will play a strategic role in the European debate, by taking necessary action to achieve decarbonisation objectives whilst ensuring the security and affordability of energy sources for European industries and households.”
