Antje Kanngiesser appointed new CEO of the Alpiq Group

Antje Kanngiesser has been appointed as the new CEO of the Alpiq Group, the leading Swiss electricity producer.

She holds a doctorate in law and an Executive Master of Business Administration from IMD Lausanne and has covered different positions BKW, as Head of Group Markets and Services at BKW and as a member of the Group Executive Board of the BKW Group since 2019.

During her time at BKW, she drove forward the corporate transformation by realigning business models, digitalising energy sales and firmly establishing modern working methods. Before joining BKW, she successfully served in various management positions with the Alpiq Group and Energie Ouest Suisse (EOS) respectively.
