2. Krk to become the region’s renewables gateway
The “Green Energy Park” on the Croatian island of Krk was introduced by hydrogen senior experts and industry leaders during this week’s Gastech 2023 in Singapore. The new midstream facility will source and import 10 million tons of renewable ammonia per year, becoming a gateway for renewable energy imports into the region. Read the full story here.
3. Naftogaz “expects” to set new gas records
Late last week, Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a subsidiary of the Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz Group, opened a new gas field with a production potential of one billion cubic metres, a figure that “might increase” following more in-depth analyses, Naftogaz’s spokesperson told us this week. 5. Transgaz widens its “strategic presence” in Moldova
On Monday, Romanian energy company Transgaz via its Moldovan subsidiary Vestmoldtransgaz signed an agreement to take over natural gas operations in Moldova from Moldovan state-owned company Moldovatransgaz. “With this initiative, Transgaz continues its strategic presence in the Republic of Moldova, contributing to ensuring the strategic interests of the region,” said Ion Sterian, Transgaz’s Director General.
