The European Commission has approved a Lithuanian measure to issue a state guarantee for securing a loan for KN to purchase a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit for the LNG terminal of Klaipėda.
KN’s business has been affected by oil refining margins at historic lows, geopolitical circumstances and the coronavirus pandemic but also an increase in the demand for LNG. Despite the challenges, KN has achieved high operating profitability.
The new gas year just started and Lithuania’s LNG terminal is welcoming it with extremely high operating results. During the last year, 23.9 TWh of natural gas was regasified, the largest amount to date.
