Naftogaz to invest in solar and wind energy projects during wartime, CEO says

Ukrainian state-owned energy company Naftogaz Group will not wait until the end of the current war in order to invest in solar and wind energy projects, the company’s  CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov said on Saturday (11 November).

“I would like to emphasize that the development of green energy projects should continue even during wartime. Naftogaz Group has taken the decision not to pause such projects. We will invest in wind and solar energy projects this year and next,” said Mr Chernyshov.

Naftogaz Group is “constantly working” to increase the digitisation of internal processes within the Group, while its subsidiary Ukrgasvydobuvannya has connected more than 630 wells to remote monitoring, Naftogaz said in a press release.
