Montenegro announces tender prequalification for energy efficiency measures

Montenegro’s Ministry of Capital Investments has announced a prequalification call as part of an upcoming tender for the implementation of energy efficiency measures in public school buildings (8 August).

The upcoming tender is part of a Promotion of Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings – Greening Public Infrastructure in Montenegro project, which is co-financed by German development KfW bank (loan), EU (grant) and Montenegro’s state budget, under a German-Montenegrin Financial Cooperation framework.

The Capital Investments Ministry is inviting eligible applicants to participate in an “energy efficient reconstruction” and modernisation of seven school facilities across the country.

The energy efficiency measures include the application of thermal insulation on exterior walls, roof/top floor ceilings and basement ceilings/walls, replacement of façade joinery, renewal of heating system/hot water preparation, lighting system replacement, and implementation of external sunshades and solar and biomass energy plants.

The pre-qualification will be based on the applicant meeting the minimum pass/fail criteria as documented by their qualification forms.

The number of prequalified firms is limited to five. If the number of applicants exceeds this number, the five best-ranked bidders will be shortlisted. Only firms and joint ventures that have been prequalified under this procedure will be invited to the tender.

The deadline to submit applications is 21 September. More information can be found here.
