Croatia’s Professio Energia acquires Danilo and Rudine wind farms

Croatia’s renewables company Professio Energia acquired two wind farms from French sustainable investment manager Mirova and Austrian renewable energy developer RP Global. Danilo and Rudine wind farms with a capacity of 44 megawatts (MW) and 34 MW respectively are both located in Croatia.

“[…] We strongly believe that this transaction has the potential to become the first step in long – term partnership between Mirova, RP Global and Professio Energia in sustainable investing in the region of South-East Europe,” noted Mario Klaric, Managing Director of Professio Energia. “Together with our shareholders, we have ambitious plans for future ESG investments thus contributing to the green transition of Croatia and the complete SEE region.”

Raphaël Lance, Head of Energy Transition Infrastructure Funds at Mirova remarked, that “it is a great satisfaction to have contributed with RP Global to Croatia’s development in renewable energies through the investment in Danilo and Rudine, and now to let the local actors take over the projects.”

Together with Danilo and Rudine wind farms, assets in the ownership of Professio Energia produce more than 300 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of green electricity each year. Professio Energia is also developing a pipeline of an additional 200 MW of combined wind, solar and storage facilities.
