Contract signed for the construction of small hydropower power plant Otočac

Croatia’s Končar-Engineering signed a contract with power company HEP Group for the construction of the small hydropower plant Otočac (SHPP Otočac), which represents additional power capacity and will increase the energy utilisation of the headwater system of the hydropower plant Senj and the Lika river.

The capacity of the power plant will be 1.5 megawatts (MW) and it will consist of three separate generation units with a power of 500 kilowatts (kW) each. This will ensure the supply of electricity to approximately 1,500 households.
