Transgaz to launch non-binding market demand survey

On Tuesday (4 July), Romanian state-owned gas operator, Transgaz launched a non-binding market demand assessment process for incremental capacity, beginning with the 2023-2024 gas year.

By no later than 28 August, Network Users are invited to submit their non-binding market demand for additional capacity within 8 weeks following the annual auction for annual firm capacity products. This can be done by completing a survey provided by the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG).

Transgaz, in collaboration with adjacent transmission system operators (TSOs), will release the results of the incremental capacity demand assessment within the company’s market demand assessment report. This will occur within 8 weeks following the conclusion of the market demand survey, but no later than 23 October.

As stated in the company’s press release, the non-binding market demand assessment is in accordance with 26-30 articles of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/459 of 16 March 2017 establishing a network code on capacity allocation mechanisms in gas transmission system and repealing Regulation (EU) 984/2013.
