Polish and Ukrainian operators launch public consultations on incremental capacity project

Polish gas transmission operator GAZ-SYSTEM announced on Tuesday (31 October) that it has initiated public consultations for an incremental capacity project at the border between Poland and Ukraine, together with the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU).

The incremental capacity project proposal was prepared by the operators in response to non-binding demand indications received from the market during the Market Demand Assessment process conducted between 3 July and 28 August 2023.

The document under consultation includes a description of the incremental capacity project with the proposed technical solution, estimated costs, preliminary schedule, offer level for bundled capacity product and terms and conditions of participation in and access to incremental capacity during the yearly capacity auction.

The operators are asking interested system users to provide comments on the draft project proposal and the accompanying general terms and conditions for participation in the incremental capacity auction until the end of the month (30 November).
