During the first six months of 2023, over 157,000 metres was drilled by the state-owned Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz Group, noting a record six-month result over the last 15 years (11 July).
“Even in wartime conditions, we not only continue to drill new wells, produce natural gas and inject it into the underground gas storage facilities but also work on improving our production performance rate,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz Group.
In April earlier this year, the Ukrainian energy company set a new record for monthly drifting of 32,400 metres.
I would like to sincerely thank our experts who continue working despite all the challenges of the war. They never stopped drilling either in March 2022 or now, for the sake of Ukraine’s energy security,” Naftogaz CEO emphasised.
