Ukrgasvydobuvannya, a subsidiary of Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz Group, has increased its daily gas production by 3.31 million cubic metres (commercial gas volume) since the beginning of 2023.
In August, Ukrgasvydobuvannya reached its highest average daily production rate since June 2020, as a result of 54 new gas wells commissioned since the start of the year and an increase in the number of service operations, Naftogaz Group said in a press release.
“This increase in average daily production will enable us to exceed the year-end results of the previous two years. Amidst complicated circumstances, the team of Ukrgasvydobuvannya continues working to provide the country with its own energy resources. I thank my colleagues for their professionalism,” said Oleh Tolmachev, Interim Director General of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
In late August, Ukrgasvydobuvannya opened a new gas field with a production potential of one billion cubic metres, which “might increase” upon further analyses, the company’s spokesperson told CEENERGYNEWS.
The company’s gas production volume this year is also “expected” to exceed 2022 and 2021 results.
