Is the future looking bright for SSLNG in the Baltics and CEE?

In the past years, the role of LNG projects has become extremely important for the energy infrastructure in the Baltics and the rest of Central and Eastern Europe. However, there exist certain inhibitors that could prevent the further boost of the industry, such as increasing hype about hydrogen’s potential and some scepticism regarding the advantages of LNG.

More light will be shed on future forecasts for the LNG market at the 2nd CEE SSLNG Forum which will take place online on the 2nd of September organised by ALJ Group. Some stellar presentations from top-level experts will be delivered by Gaz System’s Slawomir Sieradzki who will open the event with an overview on the LNG market and infrastructure in the Baltics.

Daisuke Harada from Jogmec will complement the programme with his insights and research on natural gas flows from Russia to Asia-Pacific as well as the potential of hydrogen. The forum will also welcome a very important speech from Lukasz Lisicki, Policy Officer at DG Energy, European Commission who will develop on the LNG market in the context of the European Green Deal.

Next, you will hear from leading gas industry companies representing various project segments: TGE Gas, GTT, Klaipedos Nafta, Alexela, Sofregas, Techint and many others. The speakers from these companies will tackle such topics as the role of LNG infrastructure in the Baltics and the CEE region, challenges, and solutions of building SSLNG terminals in the CEE, innovative tools for LNG plant design and many other important and exciting topics.
