GAZ-SYSTEM signs Baltic Pipe deal with Australian SEA Global

On 7 June, Polish gas transmission system operator, GAZ-SYSTEM signed an agreement with Australian engineering and project delivery consultancy, SEA Global for the supervision and technical support for operational activities of the Baltic Pipe natural gas pipeline.

The contract sets out cooperation between both sides for a minimum of five years, with activities related to the contract’s implementation planned to be performed from several locations. 

The selected contractor has extensive experience in the design and management of offshore gas pipelines, GAZ-SYSTEM said. SEA Global will be responsible for, among others, the technical assessment of the gas pipeline, quantitative analyses and providing counsel in exploitation works.

The pipeline, which connects Poland with Denmark, was commissioned in October 2022.
