Greece’s energy group Elinoil and LNG supplier Blue Grid announced the creation of their first LNG and CNG filling station for vehicles in Greece, to be operational in the first quarter of 2024.
Elinoil’s entry into the LNG-CNG market falls in line with its strategy which includes the evolution of its gas station network into integrated energy stations. At the same time, it is also aligned with the company’s broader commitment to promoting sustainability.
“This collaboration – combining Blue Grid’s expertise and leading role in downstream LNG supply and distribution with the geographical footprint of Elinoil’s network – will surely accelerate the promotion of alternative fuels in Greece,” said Blue Grid. “LNG as a road transport fuel is finally available in Greece and we are here to help you switch your fleet to LNG, helping you save money, reduce emissions and improve local air quality.”
Earlier in March, Blue Grid already successfully completed the first performance test at the LNG Truck Loading Station at the Greek terminal of Revithoussa.
