100th LNG reloading from the FSRU vessel to LNG transport trucks performed at Krk

On 25 July, the 100th Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) reloading operation from the Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) vessel to LNG transport trucks (ship to truck reload – STT) has been performed at the Krk terminal in Croatia.

LNG Croatia was the first to perform a complex LNG reloading operation directly from the FSRU vessel to trucks when it started to offer this non-standard service to terminal users in mid-April 2022. To date, all available slots have been booked which indicates the market demand for this operation.

“With this new service, the terminal has provided to Croatia and to this part of Europe with a new LNG station, making LNG more affordable for this part of the market,” said Ivan Fugaš, Director of the Operations and Technical Affairs Division at LNG Croatia in an interview with CEENERGYNEWS earlier in May. “Through the development of its services, LNG Croatia is constantly trying to increase the usability of the terminal and to improve and enhance its LNG business in the region.”

In accordance with the operational capabilities of the Terminal, approximately 40 operations per month are expected in the coming period.
