Ukraine Energy Support Fund receives additional €7 million from Denmark

The Energy Community Secretariat announced on Thursday (7 December) that the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has received an additional 7 million euro grant from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This contribution builds upon the Danish Energy Agency’s contribution to the fund last year, which marked the fund’s first donation, as well as the ministry’s 4 million euro grant for the Ukrainian renewable energy sector.

The 7 million euro grant will enable Ukraine to purchase “urgently needed” equipment for the energy sector and prepare for the upcoming winter season, Energy Community said in a press release.

With this latest contribution, the total pledges received by the Ukraine Energy Support Fund now amount to 325 million euros.
