R.Power Renewables secures financing for 32.5 MWp PV portfolio

Polish energy company R.Power Renewables has finalised a loan agreement with BNP Paribas Bank Polska financing a portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) projects with a total capacity of 32.7 megawatt peak (MWp).

The projects, “strategically located” in various regions of the country, are to be commissioned in 2024 and 2025, R.Power Renewables noted via LinkedIn.

The funding for these projects was secured through commercialisation, involving the execution of power purchase agreements (PPA) and securing a guaranteed price for electricity sales in renewables auctions organised in 2021 by Poland’s President of the Energy Regulatory Office.

The loan was granted for a period close to the time for which the projects gained support in the renewables auction, R.Power Renewables added.

The portfolio of PV farms will be serviced by Polish maintenance company Nomad Electric, once the construction is completed.
